We chose Supari because it clearly reflected a bigger problem in wholesale trade. Manufacturers in regions like Karnataka and Assam produce high-quality products, but buyers across India often struggle to reach them directly. Too many middlemen increase costs, quality becomes inconsistent, and trust is difficult to build.
We believed that if we could solve this problem for Supari, we could build a model that works across many industries.
So we went directly to the source. Our team visited manufacturing regions, identified reliable suppliers, checked product quality carefully, negotiated fair prices, and brought those manufacturers onto our platform.
When we launched, the response was immediate. In the first month, we received over 5,000 inquiries, 500+ customer registrations, and 259 sample orders. More importantly, 60 of those buyers returned with repeat wholesale orders.
That early traction taught us something important: buyers are willing to switch suppliers when they get consistent quality, transparent pricing, and a process they can trust. Most buyers begin with samples, and once the product meets their expectations, they continue with larger and repeat orders.
